Dr Fadl H Veerankutty comes with more than 10 years of experience in the field of liver transplantation and gastrointestinal surgery. He graduated from Calicut medical college in 2005. He completed hands on advanced training in liver transplantation and hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgery from the prestigious Dr. Rela institute, Chennai under Prof. Rela, a pioneer in the field of liver transplantation. While working at Dr. Rela institute (one of the largest centres in the world for paediatric liver transplantation), he gathered extensive experience in the paediatric liver transplantation and robotic donor hepatectomy. Before joining Rela Institute, he had been working as a consultant in liver transplantation at VPS Lakeshore, Cochin. He is a reviewer for many reputed national and international journals and is being invited by international medical journals to write expert reviews on various topics related to gastroenterology and hepatology. He has bagged many awards in various national and state level surgical conferences. His areas of interests are living donor liver transplantation, paediatric liver transplantation, and minimally invasive HPB oncosurgery.

- Travel grant- ISLS 2021, to be held at Busan, South Korea (November 25-27), Presentation: The Application of Blower-Mister in Living Donor Liver Transplantation.
- Chaired a session session on minimally invasive living donor hepatectomy in the mid-term conference (March 2023) of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology at AIIMS Patna.
- Chaired a session on ‘surgical risk assessment in patients with chronic liver disease’’ at the annual conference of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology Kerala chapter (ISGKCON 2023)
